Egypt - eCommerce - Advanced Cargo Information Declaration (ACID)

The Advanced Cargo Information is mandatory for all Egyptian import shipments as of 1st October 2021, Egyptian Customs Law #207/2020. 

ONE is pleased to announce that our eCommerce platform – Booking and Shipping Instructions modules - have been enhanced to include the ACID No., Importer ID, and Exporter ID reference fields, enabling customers to provide the following data elements:

• ACID Number: A 19 digits number uniquely identifying the ACI shipment
• Importer ID: A 9 digits number issued by the Egyptian Tax Authority uniquely identifying all companies registered in Egypt
• Exporter ID: An alphanumeric string issued by the relevant authority

The registration of the above-mentioned data elements is mandatory for shipping documentation; however customers are encouraged to provide the references (if known) at booking stage to speed up the validation and complete shipment process. Please note, it is also necessary to upload the ACID number confirmation email from the Nafeza portal to the Shipping Instructions. 

Any consignments with missing references or ACID confirmation number at the required documentation cut off time will not be shipped, and any costs incurred will be for the account of the exporter.
