NBS Service Disruptions

Recently, the NBS service has experienced persistent delays over the past few weeks.

Causes of this, most noticeably are the recent storms and bad weather recently experienced.  Not only has this seen a delay in operational activity at various terminals but it has also been a factor in the increase in port congestion, in particular, at RWG terminal in Rotterdam.  Subsequently, this has resulted in further delays for the ship’s operator in securing berthing times.

Crane breakdown further hampered operations at RWG meaning efficiency in loading and unloading was affected.

For the Lisbon Express voy., 2006, we were delayed by some 6 days as a result of the above issues and further vessels for the NBS service have slid by one week.

Recovery plans are being investigated by ships operator to reduce delays and improve schedule performance.

We do apologise for any inconvenience caused.
