Ocean Network Express Unites with Hutchison Ports Gdynia and The North Event for the 4th Annual ONE Charity Terminal Run

<26 th June 2024, London> Ocean Network Express (ONE) together with Hutchison Ports Gdynia (GCT) and The North Event, have successfully organized their 4th annual ONE Terminal Run on Sunday 23rd June, 2024. The initiative connects members in the maritime industry in the spirit of fundraising and wellbeing.

This year, the race around the GCT terminal in Gdynia, Poland, welcomed approximately 1,300 runners and over 3,000 supporters, including children to join the children’s run. The day saw the adults joining together to warm up to music where spectators could join in with the festivities before the runners set off on their separate runs of either one nautical mile or 5 kilometers depending on the runner's choice.

The main event was organized with the generosity of sponsors from the transport and maritime industry; Port of Gdynia Authority, Morska Agencja Gdynia, MacGregor Global, Loconi Intermodal S.A, ECU Worldwide, Uni-logistics Sp. z o.o and E-containers.eu. The children's run was generously sponsored by both Nautiqus Food Logistics and IT Logistics.

All monies raised will be donated to local charities and past events have collectively raised over 33,000 EUR to date. The beneficiaries of funds raised, through ticket sales as well as online auctions, include: The Why Not Association, an organization supporting children and youth with disabilities, The Szkwal Foundation, supporting young people at risk, and two local schools supporting children with disabilities.

Previous event donations have provided the local community with amenities such as three sensory integration rooms in primary schools in Gdynia, specialized wheelchair equipment for the Cool Awi Association, as well as donations to local schools helping those with disabilities. Donations are still adding up for the ONE Terminal Run 2024 as the online auction is still open, but to date, the fourth edition has already raised estimated funds of 19,000 EUR.
