Re: Important Updates Regarding Battery Shipments

Dear Valued ONE Customers,

When transporting your cargo, safety is our number one priority. To ensure compliance with our Global acceptance policy and safety standards, we verify all bookings for correct declaration and packing. This is a critical step in preventing accidents and ensuring safe cargo handling.

We know declaring the correct commodity is as important for you as it is for us. We kindly ask for your collaboration in checking that all booked cargo is correctly declared.

Important Updates for Battery Shipments

For all Non-DG Batteries (including Lithium-Ion & Metal / Sodium Ion batteries), a special stowage application is required. These containers will be stowed On Deck Away from Heat.

You must advise ONE at the Booking Request stage if you intend to load any non-DG Batteries. Please provide:
- Battery Type/Model
- Battery condition: NEW, USED, WASTE, or DAMAGED

Prohibited Battery Conditions

The following conditions are strictly prohibited for Lithium-Ion/Metal & Sodium Ion batteries (DG or Non-DG):
- Used, damaged, defective, recycled, waste batteries, or batteries for disposal.

For other battery types (non-lithium/sodium), if used, damaged, etc., they must be declared and shipped as DG (Dangerous Goods).

Required Documentation
For Non-DG battery verification, the following documents are required:
- Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
- Test Report (must be readily available upon request)

By providing the necessary information and adhering to these guidelines, we can ensure correct stowage and avoid delays. Failure to declare correctly may result in your container being removed from the load list and rolled to a later sailing, or even removed from the vessel. All associated charges will be invoiced to the Booking party in such circumstances.

Thank you for your understanding.
