South Africa Terminal and Vessel Update - 13th May 2020

Durban and Coega are continuing to perform well, whilst Cape Town continues with 4-5-day berthing delays. Move counts are starting to improve on several services, with greater export volume return and empty evacuation, which could increase berth times.

Europe Trade

M/V Santa Barbara: Sailed Cape Town 1240hrs 12th May posting ETA Algeciras 0630hrs 23rd May and should still make the North Europe pro forma dates of 26-27th May in Rotterdam and 29th May in London Gateway.

M/V MOL Presence: At Cape Town anchorage and due to berth 1800hrs 15th May to sail 1600hrs 17th May.

M/V Santa Clara: Sailed Durban 0237hrs 11th May and is now at Port Elizabeth anchorage 1316hrs 12th May, berthing PECT 2300hrs 14th May to sail 1500hrs 15th May. She is well in advance of her Cape Town window and her berthing plan shows 1800hrs 21st May to sail 1000hrs 24th May.

M/V Santa Rita: Omitted her Cape Town import call due to potential lengthy berth delays. Now at the Port Elizabeth anchorage arrived 1320hrs 12th May and will berth Coega 0600hrs 13th May, sailing 0700hrs 14th May. Durban berthing is planned for 2000hrs 16th May and sailing 1000hrs 19th May to Cape Town. 

M/V Kmarin Aqua:  The first WAF1 sailing from Port Elizabeth to Algeciras is in RSA waters and on PECT plan on time for 24-25th May.

M/V Santa Isabel: ETA Cape Town is 0900hrs 16th May. Santa Isabel is on the CPT berth plan for 1800hrs 18th May to sail 0800hrs 20th May.

M/V Santa Rosa:  Inbound from Europe and sailed Algeciras. ETA Cape Town 0400hrs 24th May on the berth plan for 1000hrs 24th May, so still berthing on arrival at this stage.

Asia Trade 

M/V Cosco Ashdod:  ETA Cape Town anchorage 9th May. Expected to berth Cape Town 0001hrs 14th May to sail 1800hrs 15th May.

M/V MOL Endowment: Sailed Durban 0455hrs 12th May. ETA Singapore 2000hrs 28th May.

M/V Cosco Aqaba: Durban 0900hrs 13th May, berthing on arrival Durban 1400hrs 13th May to sail 2200hrs 15th May. Onward Cape Town berthing is currently showing as 2000hrs 20th May to sail 2000hrs 22nd May.

M/V Bai Chay Bridge: Switched with Cosco Wellington. Now berthing Durban Pier 2 at 1900hrs 21st May to sail 0600hrs 25th May.  

M/V Cosco Wellington: ETA Durban anchorage 0400hrs 17th May and berthing Pier 2 on arrival at 0700hrs 17th May to sail 1400hrs 21st May. 

M/V Cosco Sao Paulo: ETA Durban anchorage 1000hrs 20th May, expected to berth on arrival at Pier 1 at 1400hrs 20th May to sail 1200hrs 23rd May.  
 
M/V MSC Lily: Next sailing ex ECSA due to berth Coega 0800hrs 13th May and sail 0800hrs 14th May.

AIM – Middle East and West Africa product

M/V NYK Paula: Eastbound for Middle East is alongside working at Pier 1 Durban and due to sail 0600hrs 13th May.The provisional ETA Jebel Ali is 26th May.

M/V Montpellier: Westbound for WAF ETA Durban 1900hrs 16th May. At present berth at MPT A/V only 20th May and unlikely to change.

M/V Xpress Karakoram: Eastbound for Middle East sailed West Africa AM 10th May and scheduled to arrive and berth Cape Town 20th May, sailing 21st May. Durban schedule will be updated in due course.
