SRX Service Contingency Plan 2nd June 2020
As a result of ongoing reduced productivity and stoppages linked to Covid-19, the berthing delays in Cape Town container terminal have increased. In addition, the removal of berthing windows in Cape Town terminal due to a declared Force Majeure will lengthen vessel delays.
To ensure a stable weekly product, SAECS partners have agreed on the below schedule plan:
• MV Santa Clara v.202B: Alongside Cape Town and commenced working with one crane. The vessel will likely only complete and sail 6th June, with her European schedule to be updated in due course.
• MV Santa Rita v.202B: Working in Port Elizabeth terminal ETD 1205hrs 3rd June after which she will sail directly to Algeciras.
• MV Santa Isabel v.202B: Expected to berth Cape Town 1200hrs 11th June - ETD 1200hrs 15th June. In order to recover her schedule, the vessel will omit Algeciras with her expected arrival Rotterdam 1500hrs Friday 27th June, London Gateway 2130hrs Saturday 28th June.
• MV Santa Rosa v.202B: Will now omit Cape Town export call and proceed to Port Elizabeth to berth 1600hrs 14th June - ETD 1600hrs 16th June. By doing this the vessel takes the slot of the Northern Prelude [WAF1] and provides Algeciras cover for the Santa Isabel v.202B, ETA Algeciras 27th June; Rotterdam 1st July and London Gateway 3rd July.
• MV Ulsan v.023N: Currently working in Port Elizabeth ETD 1600hrs 6th June, to berth Cape Town 2100hrs 14th June - ETD 2100hrs 15th June, ETA Algeciras 0930hrs 26th June.
Note: the Santa Rosa and Ulsan effectively provide cover for Algeciras with the Santa Isabel omission.
• MV Maersk Luz v.202B: After omitting her Cape Town southbound call the vessel will perform the following schedule:
