SRX Service Update – Durban Floods Contingency for SAECS Service
We regret to advise that because of floods in Durban and impact/delays arising at the terminal we are going to turn the MV. Maira XL at Coega and discharge all Durban imports in Coega to connect with the following MV. DAL Kalahari. The MV. Santa Isabel will remain in Durban to complete all work and will swap berths in Cape Town with the MV. Maira XL to preserve the weekly schedule.
The Schedule plan is as follows:
Vessel | ZBA | DUR | ZBA | CPT |
---|---|---|---|---|
Maira XL v.221S/N | 13-14/Apr | OMIT | 15-16/Apr | 21-23/Apr |
Santa Isabel v.221S/N | Sailed | 17/Apr | - | 26-29/Apr |
DAL Kalahari v.221S/N | 20-23/Apr | 25-28/Apr | - | 03-06/May |
We would encourage Johannesburg based customers to take delivery of Durban import cargo in Coega which will ensure a much faster delivery. We will open an export stack for the MV. Maira XL sailing 16/Apr which can be available for local dry and reefer exports.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but hope that it provides a more reliable departure weekly across all three vessels.
