SRX Service update–M/V Santa Teresa v.245N/250S Rotterdam Terminal Challenges

Dear Valued Customer,   

We are currently encountering major operational challenges in some key European terminals.  The root cause of these challenges differs from port-to-port but may include elements such as: labor shortages, social unrest, high yard utilization, terminal renovation, etc.  On the short term we regretfully do not expect a significant improvement of this situation.

Rotterdam is one of the ports that is most affected by these challenges. Illustrative is the situation currently experienced with the M/V Santa Teresa Voy.245N/250S operating on our Europe-South Africa (Rainbow Express (SRX) Service) which vessel is confronted with a situation whereby, to be able to discharge our South Africa import cargo, we will have to call at no less than 3 Rotterdam terminals which are:

  • ECT Delta Container Terminal
  • Euromax
  • Rotterdam World Gateway (RWG)

Export cargo booked on the M/V Santa Teresa Voy 250S will ALL be loaded at the RWG terminal.
