Expected service delays due to severe weather in Portugal, Morocco and the Strait of Gibraltar
Dear valued ONE customer,
We are writing to inform you of significant operational disruptions across the North Atlantic and the Bay of Biscay due to a series of intense low-pressure systems. These conditions, characterized by high swells and gale-force winds, are expected to persist for the next 7 to 10 days, impacting vessel transit and port approaches in Portugal, Morocco, and the Strait of Gibraltar.
As a result, several terminals in this area, specifically Algeciras, Tangier and Casablanca, have temporarily suspended operations, leading to increased port congestion and the necessary sheltering of vessels in safe waters. Consequently, we anticipate notable variations in arrival and departure schedules.
The safety of our crews and vessels remains our absolute priority. Our teams are working diligently to monitor the situation and minimize the impact on our Intra-Europe feeder and main-line networks. We sincerely apologize for any disruption to your logistics planning and appreciate your patience during this period of severe weather.
